Thank you to those of you who turned out for the hui last night.  I take my hat off to you for your commitment to our kura and standing up for what you want.

As you know the Board of Trustees were seeking direction from the community on its next course of action.  It was clear from the both the feedback and vote at the end of the hui that you will not accept the decision as presented by the Minister and want to fight for your rights.

GOLF LESSONS-27th Sep 2011

Last Tuesday, the students of Kawerau Intermediate had the opportunity to take part in a Golf Lesson with ‘Tim’ who is part of the Golf development group in the Bay of Plenty.  All the students enjoyed the experience and there were quite a few swing and misses but it was all good fun.  There’s definitely  some future ‘Michael Campbells’ here at KIS.  Thank you to Whaea Steph for organising the day.  Don’t forget there is a Golf Fun Day next term at Kawerau Golf Club.  Check with Whaea Steph for details.  Thanks Tim for being an awesome coach.
